To Bath.


Bath, the UNESCO World Heritage city, which is clustered in the valley of the River Avon, brims over with its Roman heritage and Georgian architecture, typified by royal crescents and columned streets, furnished with the rich hues of Bath Stone.

It is renowned for its photogenic quality, a quality I found impossibly hard to capture. I spent a day walking around the ‘museum’ city, continually lacking the inspiration to dig out my camera. For all its history and architectural character, Bath was a preserve of the senses for me; I found little point in reproducing staid images of famous spots. That’s my defense anyway…
